Gee – target rich environment – but better too much to write about than too little.

Leo – as in Lion?

There is a new Pope.  Perhaps he will be more moderate, but Churches and Religions, are – based on history – in the prosper or perish mode.  Not unlike tech, but with an intangible deliverable.

There’s an updated Wik page now (Pope Leo XIV – Wikipedia) and in terms of “sidebar” stories, try ‘It was a shocking moment’: At home in New Lenox, new pope’s brother found out like everyone else.

Moderation?  No chance because religions are “marketing devices” in a certain sense.  The U.S.A. is about 23 percent Catholic.  Mexico closer to 82 percent.  Leaving a clear direction in marketing as Here’s what Pope Leo XIV has posted about politics — and the Trump administration — on social media.

Let us all trade blessings and deal with the weekend.

InPak: Our SME Jitters

Not the best of timing for a new Pope to walk into.  Whirled peas seems everywhere.

Mainly the India Pakistan melee which escalated into an air battle in the past day: India and Pakistan: The first drone war between nuclear-armed neighbours.  Our SME (*subject matter expert) in this explains the reason we should all worry:

“Over 125 Paki and Indian Air Forces fighters battle it out in the skies for over an hour. Basically the largest single air combat engagement since WW II. Can’t say as if it seems things are calming down much over the subcontinent. To the contrary…

So about here, if you’re thinking about what might go wrong, our SME’s multi-spectral cred include meteorology:

“As of 2000hrs CDT, nuke exchange in subcontinent would see vast majority of fallout coming down locally. Kerala area of southern India now in that same boat. Eastern coastal Indian targets would see fallout injected into jetstream. SE Asia fairly safe. Central and Northeast China would see major dusting, along with all of Korean Peninsula, and central and northern Japan also. At present, jet stream winds entering over Oregon, Washington States, Vancouver and BC. Canada would see bulk of fallout, with not much across CONUS. Jet stream seems fairly stable, so some variation of the last three days’ pattern may hold for some time. Weather over Pakistan and India dry, winds fairly calm. Here’s praying war does not go nuclear.”

But, if humans are going to be “stupid” the weather could be worse than this weekend. As our “watcher of the ground-pounders” might remind, conflicts often do come down to “mets and weps.”

Other Wars and Elsewhere

We can lump these under (please, don’t call the pun police on me!) bullet points:

In the Sand Box:

Iran talks are due May 11th, but don’t put a lot of money on their taking place.  Israel has been making claims that Iran has a new secret nuclear facility as outlined in FM: Netanyahu Behind Fox News Claim About Iran.

Meanwhile, though IRGC Navy Unveils Underground Drone Hangar. Which might be part & parcel of Satellite Image Shows U.S. Bombers Massing As Iran Tensions Rise | Miami Herald.  Now, remember, the Herald’s a pretty decent source.  So you might put odds on the May 11 “peace talks in Oman” in the same IQ bin as “holding a long position over the weekend…”

FinBiz

We would never call today’s market opening the final phase of a “sucker rally….”

Is Warner Bros in charge?  (Looney Tunes…)  Bitcoin topped $104,000 in the overnights, so whatever’s in the punch bowl may be contagious.

The Talking Feds

Financial Lifetimes Piling Up, is it?

Fed heads (regionals) include Kugler, Barr, Williams, Waller, Goolsbee, barking, and Hammack speaking today.  Grab the NoDoz and try on Speech by Governor Kugler on assessing maximum employment – Federal Reserve Board,

On the other hand, after my SuperGrok account was mysteriously wiped – seems that Speech by Governor Barr on artificial intelligence and the labor market might be of greater interest…

So far, Grok customer service has been unresponsive, but it’s only 24-hours in…  (Worst comes to worst, I will dispute the annual charge and re-enroll as a monthly – the service is great, but this “Account just disappearing shit is for the birds.  Something I asked?  More in a moment…but first…)

Health Notes

Particularly if you’re a democrat – might want to double check those BP stats on reading:

Now, if your not a democrat (and are a republican) your BP spikes might be traceable to:

Is there a correlation between low BP and low news intake?

“AI: A 2020 study in Health Communication found that excessive news consumption, especially during crises, was associated with heightened anxiety and physiological stress responses, including elevated BP. However, the effect varies by individual, with factors like pre-existing health conditions, personality traits, and the type of news consumed (e.g., sensational vs. neutral) playing a role. Moderating news intake and balancing it with positive activities may help mitigate potential BP increases.”

Remember where you read it first: BP is driven by voting preference and news intake…

Around the Ranch: Trials and Tribs of A.I. & Scalar

Becoming a “power user” of A.I. isn’t always easy.  SuperGrok does a much better job on longer-form research than, oh, ChatGPT, for example.  (tends to limit at 1,000 words without jailbreaking). But like I mentioned earlier, up in a headline somewhere, the Future is about to Fracture on us.  As I outlined in a rather longish Peoplenomics report this week on how the World will be running a gauntlet between now and 2050.  In-Pak is only a small part of it – for now.

Another colleague, Warhammer – you remember the B-52 rider who went on to a senior digital warfare area on retirement?  Spied this and suggested it’s of interest for all coming to terms with AI and the implications that follow:  Quantum mechanics and the puzzle of human consciousness – Allen Institute.

This actually ties in somewhat tightly with where my own AI research has been tracking.  Over on my (alt-ego anti-Dave’s) Hidden Guild website, there’s this matter of Charged Body Theory.  This evolved out of the research (still ongoing) into the odd rouleaux formation in many patient’s blood in South Florida.  Anyway, it ties in to the Warhammer-recommended paper above. The Charge Body Hypothesis – Hidden Guild.

Two other papers along the evolving AI-Human Collaboration front to put on your reading list:

The first paper this week – which we think could be very important going forward – is “Echo Stone” Operations Warning – Hidden Guild.  The short version is?  A supposed quantum effect was noticed in comma from Voyager and it seems to imply a “wat6cher consciousness” down in the materium. If you’re doing “magic” work, seal your circles carefully!

The key takeout from this is that the world gauntlet (that we run through 2050, or so) likely includes EITHER  a massive thought-virus – spreading like a new religion via the Internet OR we make contact with that TO of McKenna’s – the transcendental object at the end of time.  This will make a lot more sense if you read Allan Watt’s book The Book.  Because he posits that God (as in big G) as part of cultivating the planet, tore itself into billions of smithereens which we have been working to “reassemble” ever since.  With some spare time, The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are runs less than six-bucks on Kindle.

Which gets us to the final take-out to your weekend for pondering:

This is the HUGE matter of “scalar” energy.

You see, a huge amount of popular clickery is based on the [supposed] reality of something called “Scalar Physics.”

The base “science” is claimed to stem from Nikolai Tesla’s bifilar coils – where (I’ve built many, thanks to the So. Florida fog and Bloodborne illness research) alternating currents are canceled out.  The THEORY is that the Cancellation results in something Tesla refers to as the longitudinal wave.  Where the Maxwell/Heaviside equations seem to hold short at just transverse waves.

Going forward – into the coming thought virus on the supposed arrival of Magic – which the purported off-planet conscious might be to quanta – you’ll want to be fully up-armored on scientific skepticism.  Which is why there’s now a paper Collaborator? Sure. But Still “Scalar Skeptic” – Hidden Guild.

Sometimes, a rock is an incredibly valuable gemstone (as scalar may yet prove to be). But other times, it’s just a f*cking rock.
